Friday Night Reads: V.F. Sharp

This Friday I'll be hosting my eighth #FriNightReads starting at 7p MT on my author Facebook featuring fellow fantasy author, V.F. Sharp's immersive YA novel, The Forest of Arrows. It's an enthralling adventure full of ancient legends and half-forgotten magic. And it's just in time to get hooked on this story before it's awaited sequel releases for the first time. Now, here's more from this week's featured indie author:

How did you first start writing?

I first started writing because I had a really cool dream while I was working in the movie industry. I thought it was so cool. I felt like I had gone to see a LOTR movie! It never left my mind and I felt like I needed to share it. After encouragement from family, I decided to write a book based on that dream! So I stepped out of the movies and wrote!

Why do you love it?

I’ve always LOVED storytelling, ever since I was a little girl, so it makes sense that I love storytelling through writing! It’s fun to create a world and story that didn’t exist. It’s scary and exciting to share that story with someone else!

More on V.F. Sharp:

The Forest of Arrows is the first installment of the new fantasy trilogy from Vanessa Sharp. As a celebrity hairstylist who's worked on many films and major motion pictures, Sharp is no stranger to entertainment. But in recent years, she's decided to follow her passion for the storytelling side of the business, a passion she's had since she was a little girl telling ghost stories to her cousins and friends.

The Forest of Arrows is her debut novel.
